About Alia
Alia Rose Ginevra is a 21 year old classical and musical theatre singer, performer, and songwriter. She first fell in love with the arts at a young age while singing in the children's chorus for the Canadian Opera Company's production of Carmen in grade 7. Since then, she has performed lead roles and solos for the Canadian Children's Opera Company. Productions include Brundibar (2017), The Snow Queen (2019), The Monkiest King (2018) and Songs for a New World (2020). She also had the pleasure of playing Lord Pinkleton in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella with the Unionville Theatre Company (2020). In June of 2023, Alia was honoured to be apart of the COSA (Centre for Opera Studies & Appreciation) Canada at Mount Allison summer vocal intensive. Currently, she is in her third year at the University of Toronto studying classical voice performance. Alia was recently in the chorus of UofT Opera's Fall production of Nino Rota's Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze and Cendrillon (Spirit/Fairy #1) as part of the Opera Undergrad Ensemble. Alia thrives as a soprano and enjoys acting and songwriting as well.
